SmartColorID® is a patented, color-coded labeling system developed by Encore Wire that makes it easy to verify wire gauge, the number of conductors, cable and jacket type and colors of inner conductors for metal-clad and armor-clad cables.

Encore Wire's SmartStripe wire striping has 360-degree color bands designed to make wires instantly identifiable from any angle. The SmartStripe application technology eliminates rub-off due to lubes or handling. Standard color combinations are available in 18AWG–10AWG, and wire types TFN, TFFN and THHN/THWN-2.
